Here she is in front of their hotel about to take the train to Porto to begin the fifteen day walk.  On the Portugese Camino Marilyn walked past terraced fields, lush forests, vineyards and peaceful sleepy villages until, fifteen days later, they reached Santiago.

Santiago de Compostela is the capital of northwest Spain’s Galicia region.  It’s known as the culmination of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and the alleged burial site of the apostle St. James.  His remains lie within the Cathedral de Santiago de Compostela, consecrated in 1211, whose elaborately carved stone facades open onto grand plazas within the medieval walls of the old town.

“Best Accessory Ever!”

How about it?  Grab your favorite scarf and let’s go for a walk!
