Thank you, thank you for making our Miss Plaid Hatter the blue ribbon winner, first prize, for the 2018 Edmonds Halloween Scarecrow Festival.
One special moment to share with you from Halloween eve. Our scarecrow designer, Shelly, was about to take a meal break but thought to first have her picture taken with the window scarecrow. Shelly was already dressed for the part. Once in the window she noticed all the young children outside exclaiming to their parents,
Look, look, the scarecrow’s become alive!
That’s all it took, and Shelly was off into her small piece of performance art for quite some time afterwards. Watch the short video below. You’ll see!
